Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Systems Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health. As an Electronics Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and building electronic circuits, implementing solutions to issues and problems, and performing fault analyses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build electronic circuits by acquiring parts, assembling components, and wiring equipment
  • Install, test, adjust, and commission modifications to electronic systems
  • Generate appropriate drawings and documentation for electronic systems
  • Test, identify faults, calibrate, and repair computerized hardware, solid-state logic boards, and related equipment
  • Design and implement solutions to issues and problems by reviewing work requests and consulting with user departments
  • Maintain systems to ensure optimal performance and carry out preventative maintenance on electronic components
  • Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to determine the availability and cost of systems and parts
  • Modify existing computer applications and evaluate computerized hardware and related equipment for technical acceptance
  • Investigate and solve user complaints related to the maintenance and repair of electronic systems
  • Provide technical support to staff to resolve problems with electronic systems
  • Maintain an inventory and recommend purchases of supplies, equipment, and tools
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized program in electronic technology
  • Five years of recent field experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Industry and vendor equipment certifications as required
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal effectively with others
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Ability to organize work
  • Ability to operate related equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
