Job Summary

Catholic Independent Schools Kamloops Diocese is seeking a skilled and qualified Elementary Inclusive Education Teacher to join our team at St. Ann's Academy. This is a 0.5 FTE temporary position commencing September 1, 2024, and ending June 30, 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement inclusive education plans for students with diverse needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student learning and success
  • Provide leadership and support for extracurricular activities
  • Adapt learning opportunities to meet the needs of students in small group, pull-out, and push-in situations
  • Support teachers in differentiating, adapting, and modifying curricula, instruction, and assessment
Requirements
  • Elementary Education with a specialization in inclusive education, Master's Degree in Special Education / Inclusive Education, or related experience with working with neurodiverse students
  • Valid TRB certification
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other teachers, parents, support staff, administration, and outside agencies
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans
  • Commitment to excellence in Catholic education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active membership in a Catholic parish
  • Ability to be flexible when faced with the ever-shifting needs of today's education system
  • Desire to provide leadership of extracurricular activities
