About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Design IT Specialist to join our Wholesale Liquidity Technology team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cassandra, Scala, Spark, Hadoop, Rest API, SQL, Angular, Azure, Java, and Spring Boot. As a senior design specialist, you will be expected to evolve the platform using the latest technologies and drive technical designs, lead decisions on strategic technologies, and oversee software development.

The ideal candidate will have regulatory liquidity reporting/risk management knowledge and be able to work in close partnership with ambitious business and technology partners, project teams, and stakeholders within an agile development process.

Job Requirements

What can you bring to TD?

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Engineering Certificate.
  • 10+ years of experience in big data technologies, e.g. Scala, Spark, Cassandra etc.
  • 7+ years of experience in database (SQL Server and NoSQL)
  • 3+ years of experience in web development.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution design at scale and leading big-data architecture and development.
  • Experience writing System Design Specifications (SDS).
  • Experience leading other developers.
  • Experience with development tools and frameworks such as Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, Git, and Nexus.
  • Knowledge of SSO, MFA, PingFed, OIDC, OAuth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to establish a good rapport with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Excellent collaboration skills as well as the ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow up on issues independently and ensure they are resolved promptly, escalating when necessary.
  • Self-starter, detailed-oriented and organized with strong time-management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for simplifying and automating work, for making things better, for being efficient and helping others.
