Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced accountant with a Canadian CPA (CA, CGA or CMA) to join our team as an Audit Manager. This role focuses on providing top-quality assurance and tax services to our clients, working closely with our team of professionals to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead small to medium-sized companies in a broad range of industries on various engagements, including notice to reader, review, and audit engagements.
  • Prepare corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Canadian regulations.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of a wide range of Audit, Review, and Compilation engagements, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and operational procedures, providing account reconciliations and proposing adjusting entries.
  • Prepare complex personal, corporate, non-profit organization, and charitable tax returns, ensuring compliance with Canadian tax laws.
  • Supervise junior staff during field assignments, inform Partners of engagement status, and manage engagement progress.
  • Provide exceptional client service, building productive working relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years post-qualification public accounting experience.
  • Assurance experience is an asset.
  • Profound knowledge of Canadian GAAP, audit, review procedures, and tax compliance.
  • A strong foundation in bookkeeping and an aptitude for working on multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, combined with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in accounting software and the ability to quickly adapt to new programs.
  • A team-oriented mindset and the ability to provide client-focused service.

Location:

This position is based in-person at our Keil Drive office. Hybrid or remote work options are not available.
