Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Super C. As a key member of our grocery store team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fruit and vegetable department, ensuring a positive customer experience, and driving sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in planning and coordinating department activities to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Manage and supervise department employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Take charge of the department in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Process and manage department orders and purchases, ensuring accurate receipt and storage of merchandise.
  • Ensure the store is prepared to receive customers, with adequate inventory, visually appealing displays, and efficient stock rotation.
  • Verify that product labeling meets store standards, price lists are up-to-date, and price tags are accurate.
  • Maintain the freshness of department products at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including receiving, security, and health and safety protocols.
  • Participate in employee onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Secondary V or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in the fruit and vegetable department.
