Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate fabrication.

Measure and Mark Sheet Metal

Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates to ensure precise cutting and shaping.

Operate Metalworking Machines

Operate metalworking machines, such as laser cutters, to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.

Cut Materials

Cut materials using power tools or by hand, ensuring accurate cuts and minimal waste.

Operate CADD and Computer Software

Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan sheet metal products.

Fabricate and Assemble Sheet Metal Parts

Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts, ensuring precise fit and finish.

Install Sheet Metal Products

Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes, ensuring safe and efficient installation.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.

Work Setting

Various locations, with a focus on indoor fabrication and installation.

Language

English is the primary language of communication.

Work Hours

40 hours per week, with regular working hours and occasional overtime as needed.
