Our St. Catharines office is currently seeking a full-time Senior Staff Accountant, Assurance to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity for career advancement, with the potential to consider a Supervisor position based on your experience.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare financial statements and working papers for audit engagements, either independently or under supervision.
- Lead review and audit engagements with junior staff members, demonstrating expertise and leadership skills.
- Prepare financial statements and working papers for review and compilation engagements, showcasing your attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Experience in a public accounting practice, with a strong understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS).
- Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant Designation (CPA) or successful completion of the CFE, with 1-3 years of experience in a senior/intermediate role, leading audit and review engagements full cycle.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
