About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Maple Drywall Ltd. as a key member of our installation crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of 1-2 workers in the installation of drywall sheets and other related tasks.
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, including cutting and installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong physical capabilities, including bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Dependability, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and a team player attitude.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with overtime required.
  • Own tools and equipment, including safety glasses/goggles and steel-toed safety boots.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week in a variety of locations, with relocation costs covered by the employer.
