Position Overview

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to become a vital member of our Acute Medicine department. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to designated patients both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Conduct assessments, formulate care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes for patients in the Acute Medicine unit.
  • Engage in discharge planning, advocate for patients, and provide education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and address incidents in accordance with established protocols.
  • Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of clinical practice.
  • Contribute to hospital committees, teams, and research initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Valid Registered Nurse license.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven expertise in nursing practice related to Acute Medicine.
  • Familiarity with a range of medical diagnoses and clinical scenarios.
