Position Overview
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to become a vital member of our Acute Medicine department. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to designated patients both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Conduct assessments, formulate care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes for patients in the Acute Medicine unit.
- Engage in discharge planning, advocate for patients, and provide education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and address incidents in accordance with established protocols.
- Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of clinical practice.
- Contribute to hospital committees, teams, and research initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Valid Registered Nurse license.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven expertise in nursing practice related to Acute Medicine.
- Familiarity with a range of medical diagnoses and clinical scenarios.
- Capability to perform nursing assessments and deliver effective interventions.
