Job Title: Apprentice Carpenter
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our team at Parkwest Projects Ltd. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will work under the direction of our experienced Site Superintendents and be responsible for assisting in the construction of various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the operation of hand and power tools, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Develop knowledge in concrete forming, rebar placing, and rebar tying, with a focus on quality and precision.
- Perform manual labor tasks, including carrying materials, tools, and equipment, as assigned by the Site Superintendent.
- Take proper care and attention of company tools and equipment, adhering to our maintenance and safety protocols.
- Prepare work areas for subtrades, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Demonstrate physical endurance, with the ability to lift 50lbs at a time, and work in variable climatic conditions.
- Develop good interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively with subtrades and other team members.
- Understand and adhere to our safety policies, safe work practices, and safe job procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certified Level 2, 3, or 4 Apprentice in Carpentry or a related trade.
- Reliable, hardworking team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively.
- 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on carpentry or a related trade.
