Job Summary

Westedge Community Church, a church affiliated with the PAOC, is seeking an experienced Worship Pastor to join our team. As a key member of our leadership, you will play a vital role in cultivating a vibrant, worshipping community that passionately pursues God together.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Sunday corporate worship and music rehearsals, setting the tone for a meaningful and engaging experience.
  • Recruit, train, equip, and inspire the worship team members, fostering a culture of excellence and spiritual growth.
  • Provide musical, organizational, and spiritual leadership for the worship ministry, ensuring seamless execution and a deep sense of community.
  • Oversee scheduling for the singers and musicians, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing conflicts.
  • Disciple music ministry members, guiding them in their spiritual journeys and equipping them for leadership roles.
  • Organize worship team fellowship events 2-3 times per year, promoting unity and camaraderie among team members.
  • Engage in regular meetings with the lead pastor, ensuring alignment with church vision and goals.
  • Attend all church activities, demonstrating commitment to the community and its mission.
  • Continuously grow theologically by reading books assigned by the lead pastor, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry trends.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

Required Qualifications

  • A deep life of private prayer and a passion for corporate prayer, demonstrating a strong spiritual foundation.
  • A persistent desire for spiritual growth and the ability to lead others in growing spiritually, fostering a culture of discipleship.
  • Daily meditation on God's word, ensuring a deep understanding of scripture and its application.
  • A spirit-filled, spirit-empowered, and spirit-led approach to ministry, demonstrating a reliance on the Holy Spirit.
  • Skilled vocalist with a strong musical background, able to lead worship with confidence and passion.
  • Humble, teachable character, willing to learn and grow in their role.
  • At least 3 years of worship leading experience, demonstrating a track record of success and leadership.
  • Baptized and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, aligning with the church's values and mission.
