Cargojet is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chief Pilot to join our team in Air Cargo Operations. As a key member of our Flight Operations department, you will provide critical support to our Chief Pilot and Director, Flight Operations, and play a vital role in the success of our air cargo services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support to Chief Pilot: Provide direct supervision and coordination with the pilot group, ensuring seamless operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Pilot Management: Assist with pilot hiring, employment status, attendance, disability, and all forms of leaves, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Assist with communication to all flight crew, ensuring timely and effective information sharing.
  • Culture Development: Assist with the promotion and maintenance of the flight operations culture, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Delay Reporting: Responsible for delay reporting follow-up and mitigation, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Operations Meetings: Attend daily operations meetings and follow-up on flight operations issues, ensuring prompt resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Day-to-Day Management: In the absence of the Chief Pilot, manage pilot personnel issues, ensuring continuity and stability in our operations.
  • Aerodrome and Route Assessment: Assess the operational suitability and requirements of aerodromes and routes served by Cargojet, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for Cargojet aircraft, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • SMS Duties: Fulfill all SMS duties and responsibilities as indicated in Section 2.2.5 and in the Cargojet SMS Program Manual.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (aeroplanes), a valid Group I Instrument Rating, and a type rating for at least one of the types operated by Cargojet.
  • Experience: Have at least 500 hours commercial operations experience as Pilot-In-Command on aircraft more than 100,000 lbs MTOW in international service.
  • Line Flying Qualifications: Be qualified for line flying as PIC on an aircraft type operated by Cargojet.
