Job Title: Teacher On Call

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher On Call to join our team at the North Vancouver School District. As a Teacher On Call, you will have the opportunity to work with students of various ages and abilities, providing instruction and support in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to delivering high-quality instruction and creating a positive and engaging classroom environment. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Provide support and guidance to students as needed
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent
  • A valid BC Teaching certificate or eligibility for certification through the BC Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)
  • Experience working with students of various ages and abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
