Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist our carpentry team with various tasks, including loading and unloading construction materials, reading blueprints, and erecting scaffolding. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be physically fit, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • High school diploma or equivalent
