About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist I with Alberta Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based services to individuals, groups, or communities. Your expertise will focus on occupational performance, designed to meet the unique needs of your clients. You will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive services, including:

  • Triage and screening
  • Consultation and assessment
  • Collaborative goal setting and treatment planning
  • Prevention and self-management strategies
  • Education and case management
  • Referral and transition support

You will work closely with clients and families to ensure their active participation in all aspects of care. Your role will also involve collaborating with healthcare providers, patients, families, and other stakeholders to advance services and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services, consultation, education, and advocacy to clients and families
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments and screenings to identify client needs
  • Develop and implement prevention and self-management strategies
  • Provide education and support to clients and families

Requirements:

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program
  • Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
  • Basic Life Support certification
