The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sustainability Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the Sustainability Unit, this role will play a critical part in advancing the government's lands-related interests and providing expert advice on land use and management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement lands policies and initiatives, as well as program/operational policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assist in the formulation of criteria and setting objectives for desired policy outcomes, consistent with the government's strategic initiatives.
- Prepare support materials for the Minister, including briefing notes and policy proposals.
- Coordinate land use and management research and policy development on behalf of the government and the Northwest Territories.
Typically, the successful candidate will have a master's degree in environmental/resource management, land use planning, geography, public policy, public administration, or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in policy and program development and analysis. Project management experience is considered an asset.
What We OfferThe salary for this position starts at $58.88 per hour (approximately $114,816 per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
