About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Assurance team in Peterborough. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit services to our clients in various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare year-end engagements and tax returns for clients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform audits on various organizations, preparing working papers and financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, responding to their requests and suggestions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, identifying new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding progress updates and issues.
  • Engage in training staff and invest in their professional development.

Your Qualifications:

  • CPA designation or in the process of completion.
  • 23 years of audit experience in the public accounting industry.
  • Experience working in the nonprofit industry, with a desire to develop further knowledge in this area.
  • Strong teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
