About the Role
As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Aritzia's data landscape. You'll be responsible for crafting robust and efficient data models that power insightful analysis across various business functions.
Your Impact
- Develop sophisticated SQL transformations to create intuitive and widely used data models, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Embed intricate business logic into your designs, unifying the analytical approach for cross-functional teams and fostering a cohesive understanding of data.
- Architect and recommend optimal data model structures and workflows, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Review and approve proposed model changes, acting as the technical authority for specific data domains.
- Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Dataform to build and manage your data models efficiently.
- Contribute to and champion best practices and standards within the analytics engineering team, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.
Your Qualifications
We're seeking a talented individual with a passion for data and a proven track record in building robust data models. You possess:
- Exceptional SQL skills, including the ability to write efficient queries and optimize data models for performance.
- Strong business modeling expertise, translating business requirements into well-defined data structures.
- A deep understanding of modern cloud data platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA is a plus.
- A collaborative and communicative approach, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
