We are seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to join our team at Saint Gobain. Key Responsibilities- Equipment Management: Learn, adjust, calibrate, and test equipment tooling to ensure proper pressure, speed, temperature, and general operation.
- Team Leadership: Work with team members, shift supervisors, and all necessary personnel to address complications as they arise.
- Production Planning: Be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage.
- Cost Management: Ensure that production is cost-effective by estimating costs and negotiating and agreeing budgets with both clients and managers.
- Team Supervision: Supervise the production team to manage and execute production projects.
- Scheduling: Work with the team to plan, schedule, and perform production activities.
- Workload Management: Assign daily workloads to team members.
- Process Improvement: Develop production programs and guidelines to support company objectives.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Schedule equipment maintenance and inspections on a regular basis.
- Quality Control: Suggest process improvements to enhance production quality and capacity.
- Training and Development: Organize job training for team members to achieve production goals.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate production issues and develop resolutions.
- Resource Allocation: Determine equipment, material, and manpower requirements for project execution.
- Cost Reduction: Recommend cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
- Employee Management: Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluation, promotion, retention, and termination activities.
- Production Monitoring: Monitor production activities and adjust schedules for on-time delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.
- Compliance: Ensure that the team follows company policies and safety standards.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Production Manager.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in the plastic extrusion related field is a must.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field would be considered a strong asset.
- Skills: Organization and attention to detail are necessary for this role.
- Problem-Solving: Problem-solving abilities and conflict management skills.
- Leadership: Leadership abilities in managing employees.
- Planning and Organization: Planning and organization skills to run and monitor the production process.
- Decision-Making: The ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems.
