About the Role

The Clinical Nutrition Specialist is tasked with delivering competent, safe, and ethical nutritional guidance to patients, families, and the community. This role involves advising on dietary practices and nutritional needs across various healthcare settings. The Specialist will take a leadership role in initiatives aimed at enhancing the nutritional well-being of patients, focusing on the prevention, identification, and management of malnutrition through evidence-based nutrition therapy.

The Clinical Nutrition Specialist will also engage in educational programs, including mentoring and supervising nutrition students during their practical training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert nutritional assessments and interventions for patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Utilize the Nutrition Care Process to guide clinical decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of nutrition-related policies and protocols.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

We invite candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Dietetic Internship Program.
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in a clinical nutrition setting.
  • Knowledge in managing dysphagia and providing enteral and parenteral nutrition.
  • Experience in patient counseling and education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.

Work Schedule

  • Full-Time, Long Assignment; 75 hours biweekly.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
