About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Platinum Produce Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detect and Troubleshoot Irregularities: Identify and resolve issues with machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including fabricating parts, repairing or replacing defective machinery parts, and installing new equipment.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Utilize oxy-acetylene welding techniques to fabricate parts and repair equipment.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including conveyor systems, electrical and electronic controls, fans and blowers, heat exchangers, hydraulic systems, power tools, pumps and compressors, tool grinders, and welding equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Site Environment: Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments.
  • Work Setting: Maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
