Job Title: Skilled Labourer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled labourer to join our team at Bouchier. As a labourer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to construction and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all safety standards and procedures are followed.
  • Operate assigned equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Perform clean-up on site and at the working location.
  • Install signs as per highway standards.
  • Be responsible for snow removal and ice removal.
  • Work in hot and cold climates.
  • Paint when required.
  • Store tools properly.
  • Set up and operate de-watering systems.
  • Act as a flag person.
  • Spot for loader and other equipment.
  • Patch holes in walkways.
  • Cut grass.
  • Shovel snow.
  • Operate pressure washer and steam truck.
  • Perform housekeeping functions.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with customers and other employees.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Clean 5-year Driver Abstract obtained within 30 days of starting work.
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test and Fit for Duty test.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
  • Previous experience operating skid steers, zoom booms, and forklifts with relevant certifications is preferred.
  • Safety conscious attitude.
  • Ability to work in fluctuating climates and environmental conditions.
