Position Overview:
Marshall Canada is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to enhance our team. This role, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, is pivotal in ensuring that product-specific quality standards are met, aligning with customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and our Quality Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage Acceptance Testing protocols.
- Oversee Final Product Acceptance processes.
- Participate in internal audits as per the established schedule, focusing on product/process, capability, planning, and certifications.
- Gather and disseminate Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data at designated escalation points.
- Analyze KPI trends to pinpoint areas for continuous enhancement.
- Complete documentation for non-conformance as necessary.
- Oversee internal product-related and supplier non-conformance issues.
- Ensure adherence to established procedures, policies, and work instructions.
- Review contract modifications for their impact on the Quality Assurance Plan.
- Compile and sustain the Product Quality Assurance Plan.
- Develop and uphold control plans.
- Engage in the creation and refinement of Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Provide training on quality systems, including IFS and Q-Pulse.
- Educate the quality team and stakeholders on the Quality Management System, processes, and other quality-related topics.
- Act as the system champion for IFS and Q-Pulse, ensuring processes are defined, updated, and published.
- Conduct training for new users and facilitate ongoing training workshops.
- Maintain current training documentation and address reported errors or issues in collaboration with other departments.
- Log and manage improvements and issues in the JIRA system.
- Test updates and improved processes in IFS test environments.
- Monitor end-user performance and distribute Process Error Alerts (PEAs).
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in a quality assurance capacity.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in an ISO900/14001 certified manufacturing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Experience as an Internal Auditor; Lead Auditor experience is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of quality standards and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kanban, and SMED.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and assembly diagrams.
- Knowledge of quality inspection principles.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; knowledge of IFS is advantageous.
- Willingness to work shifts as necessary.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
