About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Coast Mental Health. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each client.
  • Administer medications and provide direct care to clients, including crisis interventions and group facilitation.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in psychiatric nursing and trauma-informed care.
  • Contribute to a culture of recovery and wellness, promoting a client-driven and strengths-based approach to care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses and ability to maintain full practicing license with the BCCNM.
  • Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Ability to provide/obtain the following upon hire: Valid First Aid Certificate, Criminal Records Clearance, Proof of full Covid-19 immunization, Tuberculosis Clearance, Immunization Records, WHMIS Certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles, trauma-informed care, and psychosocial rehabilitation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to client-centered care.
