Pharmacist I

About the Role:

As a member of the Alberta Health Services Pharmacy Services team, the Pharmacist I will provide high-quality direct patient care as technicians and assistants function at their full scope of practice in drug distribution. Work in an interdisciplinary environment where you have the opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the client, physician, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Utilize your Additional Prescribing Authorization to optimize patient medication regimens.
• Optimize therapy for acute and chronic disease management.
• Empower clients in managing their medical conditions through promotion of healthy lifestyle choices, client education, and direct client care.
• Facilitate smooth transitions between care settings for our patients.

Professional practice development and growth is fostered through the provision of educational days and support from dedicated Clinical Practice Leaders. We place an emphasis on the training of pharmacists, pharmacy students, and residents, and involve all pharmacists in precepting our future professionals.
