Grounds Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team at G.M.A. Catering LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of our facilities, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually appealing.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks, including weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
- Cut grass and maintain lawns to a high standard.
- Rake and collect refuse, and remove litter and garbage from the grounds.
- Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other machinery.
- Apply fertilizers and other treatments to maintain the health and appearance of plants and lawns.
- Repair and maintain equipment, and perform other tasks as required to ensure the grounds are well-maintained.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in grounds maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment.
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans.
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to the outdoors. The position requires the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.
The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
