About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Grind Contracting LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of roofing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Roofing Installation and Repair: Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel. Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Scaffolding and Platform Erection: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms.
  • Material Handling and Storage: Ensure that all materials are properly stored and handled to prevent damage and ensure efficient use.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing or a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
