Position Overview:

We are currently seeking applications for a permanent full-time Behaviour Analyst to deliver clinical skills training and create personalized Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) utilizing the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis. This role involves supporting individuals in both home and community environments, designing BSPs aimed at assisting those with challenging behaviours to enhance their quality of life. You will provide skill acquisition and positive strategies to help individuals achieve their goals and realize their full potential.


Compensation Package:

  • Starting salary of $42.02 per hour;
  • 11 observed statutory holidays with public holiday pay;
  • 4% vacation pay on each paycheck;

Upon successful completion of a 3-month probationary period:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in psychology, education, or a related field in behavioural science.
  • Registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, holding a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) designation in good standing.
  • Formal training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is advantageous.
  • A minimum of five years of recent full-time clinical experience in a multidisciplinary team providing behaviour analytic services across various populations.
  • Proficiency in using assessment tools and conducting behavioural, cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental assessments.
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles for individuals with dual diagnoses.
  • Experience working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours and implementing Behaviour Intervention Plans.
  • Excellent assessment, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision while delivering ABA services.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with crisis intervention and counseling abilities.
  • Empathy for individuals with dual diagnoses.
  • Strong organizational skills to balance administrative and clinical responsibilities effectively.
  • Familiarity with computer operations and software applications.
  • Current valid certifications in First Aid/CPR and Safe Management Group Crisis Intervention.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for job-related duties.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and risk management concepts.
  • Understanding of The Council on Quality and Leadership, Personal Outcome Measures is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering services using applied behaviour analysis and positive behaviour supports.
  • Conducting functional behaviour assessments and overseeing the implementation of individual behaviour protocols.
  • Developing monitoring systems to track maladaptive behaviours and evaluate their antecedents and consequences.
  • Ensuring necessary consents for assessments and treatment plans are obtained and maintained securely.
  • Completing behavioural assessment reports through various assessment measures.
  • Setting clear, measurable objectives for behavioural change.
  • Assessing and mitigating risks associated with maladaptive behaviours.
  • Reviewing and monitoring behaviour support plans and relevant protocols.
  • Participating in training initiatives for Behaviour Assistants and community partners.
  • Creating skill acquisition programs with data collection procedures to assess performance.
  • Making data-driven decisions to adjust treatment plans in collaboration with individuals supported and their families.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues and professionals in the community.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to coordinate comprehensive care for individuals supported by Empower Simcoe.
