Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at NEXT WAVE LOGISTICS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transportation of goods from point of origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping and Tracking: Arrange for shipping documentation and track the movement of goods in transit.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations.
  • Policies and Standards: Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, as well as the setting of transportation service rates and revenue monitoring.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Leadership: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Workload Management: Effectively manage a large workload to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Experience

Previous experience in logistics or transportation management is required. A minimum of 7 months of experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and procedures.
