The Ready Mix Driver is a critical role within Holcim, responsible for delivering high-quality ready mix concrete to our customers in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport ready mix concrete to job sites, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of products.
- Develop a strong understanding of building materials and industry trends to provide expert advice to customers.
- Meet or exceed customer service standards, providing a positive and hassle-free experience.
- Stay up-to-date with traffic rules and regulations, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Valid Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q driver's license.
- Experience in a related field, preferably in the building materials industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
