The Store Leader's primary objective is to drive the success of the retail location by recruiting, training, and nurturing a high-performing, customer-focused team that embodies brand enthusiasm and a competitive spirit. As a premier brand retailer, you will ensure an exceptional consumer experience while fostering a positive work environment where all team members feel valued and acknowledged. You will oversee the achievement of all key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales, labor, staffing, and expense management for your store.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Development & Engagement

  • Attract and onboard top talent to build a winning team and establish a best-in-class service and sales organization by empowering and inspiring a high-performance sales force.
  • Continuously enhance employee knowledge through ongoing product training, actionable plans, and effective task delegation based on defined roles.
  • Regularly coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback, utilizing recognition and performance management processes to boost team engagement and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate succession planning by conducting monthly one-on-one discussions with the leadership team and developing individual growth plans.

Leadership & Communication

  • Exhibit outstanding communication and customer service skills by sharing successes, identifying opportunities, and proposing solutions to enhance employee engagement.
  • Actively participate in conference calls and team meetings.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal integrity by adhering to company policies and best practices, and expect the same from your team.

Operational Excellence

  • Supervise all daily operational functions to ensure the store operates successfully across all areas.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies and best practices.
  • Effectively manage scheduling based on payroll, sales trends, and team performance to maximize opportunities.
  • Ensure the team meets sales targets and key metrics including Sales, Conversion, Units Per Transaction, Average Dollar Transaction, Payroll, Secret Shop scores, Turnover, and Staffing.
  • Ensure compliance with Loss Prevention and Health and Safety protocols, holding teams accountable.
  • Collaborate with the Business Planner to establish specific, actionable goals based on established KPIs.

Merchandising & Planning

  • Lead the Visual Merchandising team to ensure that merchandising directives are executed efficiently and visual standards are consistently upheld.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of merchandise launches.
  • Provide qualitative and proactive feedback to the District Visual Merchandising Manager regarding products and visual merchandising to drive results.
  • Manage the flow of products from the Back of House to the sales floor effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a retail leadership position with a focus on retail operations, budgeting, planning, customer service, sales, and team management, with a strong understanding of financials and reporting.
  • Extensive experience in delivering high levels of customer service in a brand retail environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
  • Self-driven to build, develop, lead, and manage high-performing teams, with strong coaching and mentoring capabilities.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
