About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Construction: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Installation: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Training and Supervision: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Work Environment: Work in various locations, with a permanent work term and 30 hours per week.
  • Language: Work in English.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
