Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Weigh Technician to join our compounding team at Deciem. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our raw materials, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and retrieve raw materials from the warehouse according to picklists, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Dispense and label raw materials using the RDS Pre-Weigh system, following GMP procedures and protocols.
  • Transfer raw materials from large containers to smaller containers, adhering to GMP compliant procedures.
  • Follow First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles, ensuring the integrity of chemicals and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Document all information, including lot codes and scale numbers, accurately on picklists, batch sheets, and in the system.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues related to raw materials, such as shortages or cross-contaminations.
  • Create labels for pre-weighed raw materials, ensuring accuracy and staging them in designated areas.
  • Follow all GMP and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) procedures, including documentation of C&S logs, housekeeping logs, and other log sheets.
  • Maintain general housekeeping of pre-weigh rooms and perform calibration checks for scales used in pre-weigh rooms.
  • Read chemical labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals.
Requirements
  • Ability to work while wearing a mask or respirator when needed.
  • Strong English communication skills and math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and fractions.
  • Ability to actively listen and receive coaching as required.
  • Individual will be required to learn and adhere to GMP compliance requirements.
  • Multitasking and ability to focus on executing priorities as directed by the area Supervisor.
  • Must be very detail-oriented and have working knowledge and understanding of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
