Responsibilities

This role is available at the GM-POSCO – ULTIUM CAM (BÉCANCOUR) site.

As a procurement specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the necessary supplies for the smooth operation of our operations. Specifically, you will:

  • Process requisition requests;
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and production capacity criteria;
  • Negotiate optimal purchase conditions, prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, etc.;
  • Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate, renew agreements as needed;
  • Search for new opportunities for improvement or collaboration;
  • Manage inventory to meet business needs while minimizing costs;
  • Communicate all price changes and operational modifications;
  • Complete all required administrative documents related to procurement (e.g., confirmations, returns, purchase orders, etc.);
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in procurement, commerce, logistics, or a related field;
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Knowledge of Avantage and Prextra software;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Relevant experience in the electrical industry;
  • Good autonomy;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
