Collision Repair Technician

Join our team at MIDVAN COLLISION as an Automotive Body Repair Specialist. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in auto body repair or equivalent experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in the automotive repair industry.
The work setting is typically noisy, and relocation costs are not covered by the employer.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and plan repair work to be performed on vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Replace damaged components including body parts, doors, and frames.
- Prepare surfaces for repair by filing, grinding, and sanding.
- Utilize tools to remove dents and imperfections.
- Install replacement parts through bolting or welding.
- Use soldering equipment or plastic fillers to repair surfaces.
- Straighten bent frames using specialized equipment.
- Perform welding tasks as needed.
- Trim and sand plastic or fiberglass components.
Applicants must possess an Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification.
Skills and Attributes- Dependable and reliable work ethic.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Public transportation options are available.
The role requires physical capabilities including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Tools and EquipmentEmployees are expected to provide their own tools and steel-toed safety boots.
