Key Responsibilities in Patient-Centered Care
The Pharmacist will ensure the provision of safe, effective, and suitable drug therapy while fostering an engaging environment for both employees and customers. This role is crucial in driving departmental excellence in patient-centered care, customer service, and operational efficiencies.

  1. Focus on clinical services, including medication reviews and disease management
  2. Initiate and document care plans
  3. Administer vaccinations
  4. Assess the appropriateness of drug therapies
  5. Monitor adherence to medication
  6. Gather and document pertinent patient, drug, and disease information
  7. Advise on OTC products and vitamins
  8. Respond to patient inquiries requiring therapeutic knowledge and clinical assessment
  9. Oversee pharmacy students or provisional pharmacists in restricted activities
  10. Perform additional duties as necessary

Essential Technical Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and capable of independent work
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Qualifications and Experience

  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
  • Certification to administer medications by injection is required
  • OAT certification is mandatory
