Design Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the design process for our projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the drawing processes and standards within Summa Metal.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to a team of in-house draftsmen.
  • Collaborate effectively with subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of designs.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new TEKLA draftsmen, fostering their technical skills and expertise.
  • Oversee the BIM coordination process for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency in digital models.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a team leader with a strong track record in staff management within a design environment.
  • Proficiency in TEKLA software or similar parametric modeling tools is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design of wrought metals or steel structures.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in both French and English.
  • A passion for staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry advancements.
