We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Technology Resiliency Control team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, analyzing, and quantifying technology risk, designing controls, and assisting in their implementation for our third-party suppliers.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Director, Technology Internal Controls & Regulatory Management to achieve one of GTEP's key focus on Technology Resiliency.
- Assess and analyze technology risk, design controls, and assist in their implementation for our third-party suppliers.
- Ensure control implementation in accordance with regulatory expectations, risk appetite, organizational risk practices, and evolving business practices.
- Travel between local Scotiabank locations within the GTA may be required from time to time.
- Extended working hours may be required occasionally to support key deliverables in support of the Bank's TPRM program.
- At least 3+ years of hands-on working experience in information technology risk management, either in an IT operations function, or as a control function (audit or risk management, etc...).
- At least 5+ years of hands-on working experience with supplier management processes, such as experience establishing Statements of Work (SOWs), reviewing contractual language, or developing Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Experience in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) procedures, either as a supplier manager and/or in the first-line of defense and/or in a risk oversight function.
- Ability to learn the regulatory, legislative, and industry requirements governing the management of technology systems and information for financial institutions (COBIT [Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies]; NIST [National Institute of Standards & Technology]; OSFI B-10, B-13 & E-21; DORA; PCI-DSS [Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard], etc.).
- Past achievements have demonstrated ability to leverage collaboration and strategic influencing to achieve results.
- Good ability to balance competing or conflicting goals with a good sense of urgency.
