Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to the preparation and distribution of medications for the facilities of the Grand Suroît pole (Hospital du Suroît, Hospital Barrie Memorial, 8 CHSLDs and 7 CLSCs). In collaboration with the department's management team, the pharmacist will ensure the quality and adherence to professional standards related to pharmaceutical services, continuous improvement of pharmaceutical care, and staff development. They will also be responsible for the optimal use of human and material resources within their facilities and for external communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the integration of technical staff, their tasks, and the maintenance of their skills.
  • Participate in the development of guidelines and protocols, and in the continuous evaluation of indicators to optimize professional presence.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or a Doctoral degree in pharmacy.
  • Hold a Master's degree in hospital pharmacy or a Master's degree in advanced pharmacotherapy (practice in a healthcare facility).
  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a hospital pharmacist.
  • Experience in a management and supervision role is an asset.
