Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at HOPE MECHANICAL & HYDRAULICS LTD. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment, including trucks, hydraulic systems, and diesel engines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Welding experience
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
  • Perform other routine maintenance
Requirements:
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
  • Diesel engine repair specialization
  • Powered equipment repair specialization
  • Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization
