Senior Data Engineer

Capgemini is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will work on one of the world's largest social media platforms, handling petabytes of data daily.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data requirements and develop data pipelines using Python to import data into Snowflake.
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned areas with high-quality objectives.
- Provide estimations, agree on task duration with the manager, and contribute to project planning.
- Analyze alternative solutions and make informed decisions based on technical expertise.
- Report on area readiness and quality, and address crisis situations within the area of responsibility.
- Initiate and conduct code reviews, establish code standards, and suggest technical improvements.
- Continuously improve professional skills and contribute to the growth of the team.
- University degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in crafting data pipelines for cloud data warehouses.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience building data pipelines in Python.
- Experience with extracting data from REST APIs and ingesting it into cloud data warehouses.
- Experience working with S3 buckets and writing DAGs on Airflow.
- Rigorous approach to high code quality, automated testing, and engineering standards.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and social skills.
- Result-oriented approach and good English communication skills.
- Experience in AWS.
