Job Title: Grade 2 Teacher

Job Summary:

Fort McMurray Public School Division is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grade 2 Teacher to join our instructional team at École Dickinsfield Public School. As a Grade 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of Grade 2 students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with curriculum developments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent
  • Alberta Teaching Certificate or ability to obtain
  • Experience teaching in primary grades
  • Strong collaborative team player and positive staff member
  • Commitment to providing individualized attention to all students
  • Ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans
  • Demonstrated ability in creating a classroom characterized by inclusion, equity, and differentiated instruction
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Training in The Leader in Me or willingness to participate in training provided
  • Knowledge of Regulated Classroom strategies or willingness to participate in professional learning provided
