About the Role

The successful candidate will provide specialized guidance, coaching, and support to team leaders in all people-related activities, including HR operations and talent management practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support team leaders' performance, growth, and future objectives.
  • Lead labour relations activities, including workplace investigations, discipline, and grievance resolution processes.
  • Represent the Co-operative at labour-management meetings and committees.
  • Collaborate with functional colleagues in HR to provide direction and best practice to team leaders.
  • Align HR and talent needs with best practices established within the organization.
  • Contribute to and support HR and business-related projects that positively influence growth and change to the organization.
  • Provide HR operational support in alignment with the portfolio's long-term business needs.
  • Lead, administer, coordinate, and support HR-led employee programs for both management and non-management employees.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An undergraduate degree in Business or Social Sciences with a preference for a Human Resources Major.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience in a complex, unionized setting.
  • CPHR designation is considered an asset.
