About the Role

49 Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our digital transformation initiatives with the Government of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex projects and programs, ensuring successful delivery of digital implementation goals and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and programs, including planning, directing, controlling, and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver digital implementation goals and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement digital project management strategies, including designing target operating models and developing enterprise performance management frameworks.
  • Provide governance services to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives with Government of Canada, Provincial, or Territorial client departments/agencies/crown corporations.
  • Lead project management teams in the development of digital project management strategies, including designing target operating models and developing enterprise performance management frameworks.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholder management, including stakeholder identification and engagement with federal government departments.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, with a minimum of 5 years' experience within the last 20 years as a Project Manager providing governance services to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • 5 years and 1 month of experience in working on project management projects in a leadership role implementing large-scale digital implementations at federal government departments.
  • 5 years and 1 month of experience in project management in C4iSR projects or military digital transformation, coordination of internal and external stakeholder management, and stakeholder identification in federal government departments.
  • Post-secondary education with at least a bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Psychology, Communications, Science, or Computer Science.
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), CompTIA Project+, PRINCE2 Foundation/PRINCE2 Practitioner, Professional in Project Management (PPM), Certified Project Director (CPD), Certified Project Manager (CPM), or Certified Project Management Practitioner (CPMP).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with federal government departments, including Department of National Defense, Canadian Armed Forces, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canadian Coast Guard, Canadian Security Intelligence Service, Canadian Security Establishment, and Canadian Border Services Agency.
  • Experience in designing target operating models and developing enterprise performance management frameworks.
  • Experience in project management in C4iSR projects or military digital transformation.
