Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Millwright to join our client's team in Richmond, BC. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining machinery and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
- Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics, including PLCs, to identify and resolve issues.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, machine parts, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.
- Install, move, and modify equipment as required to meet production needs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory codes and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Document all work carried out through our CMMS system to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Red Seal ticketed Millwright, Tool and Die maker, Machine Tool Builder, or Industrial Mechanic Benefit.
- 5 years of post-qualification experience in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanics, machine shop practices, and electrical systems.
- Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the maintenance team.
- Familiarity with PLCs, including Siemens S5 & S7, Allen Bradley SLC 500, Micro Logix, etc.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of Lean manufacturing and 5S standards are assets.
- Proven ability to use Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
