About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychologist to join our team at Bigstone Health Commission. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic and evaluation services for clients, conducting psychotherapy, and collaborating with families and other professionals to coordinate treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic and evaluation services for clients, including mental health status examinations and risk assessments
  • Conduct psychological testing and assessments to inform treatment plans
  • Develop and implement individual and group treatment modalities for children and adolescents with severe mental health problems/issues
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to coordinate treatment and ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) accredited program
  • Active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent post-degree experience working with children and adolescents in a tertiary in-patient or out-patient setting
  • Experience working in a pediatric mental health service and program development and evaluation
