Position Overview:

As an integral member of the Summit organization, you will collaborate closely with the Director of CISP to fulfill your responsibilities. Your primary functions will encompass a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Providing expert guidance on spill management throughout various phases of the program, which includes containment strategies, environmental impact evaluations, and wildlife and habitat stewardship.
  • Offering technical oversight and contributions to diverse reclamation site evaluations, including wellsite, facility, and pipeline surface reclamation initiatives, which may entail surface abandonment.
  • Engaging in project planning, coordination, and management to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Supervising and mentoring both field and office personnel as necessary.
  • Conducting data interpretation, analysis, and comprehensive reporting.
  • Maintaining meticulous cost tracking and reporting for projects.
  • Fostering and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Interacting with regulatory bodies and third-party stakeholders.
  • Participating in health and safety programs tailored to both company and client specifications.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree or diploma from a recognized institution specializing in environmental engineering, agrology, conservation and reclamation, or geoscience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting or industry roles focused on environmental site assessment and reclamation.
  • Active registration as a member (professional or in-training) in good standing with a recognized Professional Association, such as AIA, ASPB, APEGA, or ACPA.
  • Strong proficiency in Alberta and Saskatchewan regulations and guidelines pertaining to surface reclamation.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project team environment.
  • Working knowledge of reclamation and remediation guidelines and best practices specific to Alberta and/or Saskatchewan.
