About This Role

The Financial Director will oversee the financial performance of the global Business Aviation Training (BAT), Helicopter Aviation Training (HAT), and maintenance training (Mx) segments. This role will be responsible for forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting of financial performance. The Financial Director will also liaise with corporate finance management and the business management team.

This position requires a strong commercial understanding of the business, providing immediate and accurate financial performance assessments for each business unit. The Financial Director will support the Business Leaders in achieving business unit objectives and business plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and associated reports, including commentaries and answers to queries.
  • Oversee business cases across BAT/HAT/Mx, ensuring alignment with finance assumptions.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and development of business units, including financial structure, tax planning, and other finance-related matters.
  • Review and produce regular, accurate, and reliable financial forecasts for business units.
  • Support the business in defining key performance indicators to support growth.
  • Involve in sales commission plan definition and calculation to ensure appropriate payment according to performance.
  • Coordinate and control the budget process for business units, delivering it in accordance with corporate requirements.
  • Manage the company's finance department budget and other finance-related costs effectively.
  • Manage and coach a dedicated finance team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Post Graduate degree in finance or accounting with Accounting recognized designation (CPA).
  • Fifteen to twenty years of relevant experience with a demonstrated track record and past experience in leading finance organizations as controller and/or Director.
  • Good working knowledge of the simulation-based business and dynamic is an asset.
