About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Sander to join our team at Sauga Painters. As a Floor Sander, you will be responsible for installing and repairing exterior and interior prefabricated products, ensuring a high level of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Repair: Install exterior and interior prefabricated products, including reading blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for clients.
  • Work Setting: Work in various locations, including construction and renovation sites.
  • Task Management: Determine layout and installation procedures, measure and mark guidelines, and prepare and maintain work materials and supplies.
  • Equipment Operation: Utilize hand and power tools, and load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by erecting and installing scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Newcomers and Refugees: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Youth: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Visible Minorities: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
