Role Overview:The Program Coordinator 1 will work closely with the Program Coordinator 2 to oversee the daily functions of Yew and Thyme Transition Houses. This position is crucial for managing personnel, financial oversight, facility upkeep, and program implementation to assist participants in achieving their objectives. Reporting directly to the Program Coordinator 2, the Coordinator 1 is instrumental in fostering a nurturing atmosphere for women and children.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of Yew and Thyme Transition Houses
- Manage staff scheduling, financial operations, and property maintenance
- Recruit, train, and supervise personnel in accordance with organizational standards
- Implement safety protocols and establish rapport with clients
- Collaborate with other departments to improve service delivery
- Maintain client documentation and comply with agency regulations
- Ensure adherence to legal and accreditation standards
- Engage in organizational projects and pursue professional development opportunities
- Bachelor's degree in counseling or social work with relevant experience
- Familiarity with laws and regulations pertaining to the field
- Experience working with diverse communities and trauma-informed care
- Supervisory experience in a unionized setting is advantageous
- Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
- First aid certification and a valid driver's license are required
